Question: Need help finding a good, interesting american literature book.?

I need to read an american literature book for my honors 10 english class and im haing a hard time finding one that i would actually like.
I am interested in kinda the history type books or myster, intense, adventure books. It has to be American Literature.

Answer: Try The Red Badge of Courage by Stephen Crane. Most American Literature (as opposed to less literary writing) is more internal, as is most literature in general - it's more inside the characters than outside, and isn't likely to be very fast-paced. The Red Badge of Courage is a little faster than most, though...

If your teacher will accept Vonnegut as literature, I would suggest Slaughterhouse Five, and another good option is Catch-22, by Joseph Heller - both are excellent novels with a great deal of meaning to flesh out, and they're both hilarious as well.

This Sesame Street Toddler Book called Naptime features Jim Henson's Sesame Street muppets. The pages printed on are super sturdy pages that can be handled without care. This book is not a board book but the pages are very sturdy. The book is by Anna Ross and illustrated by Norman Gorbaty.

In Sesame Street Naptime, the Little Big Bird whose picture is on the cover of the book did not want to take a nap even thought it was his nap time. He wanted to play. But, all his friends were going to nap so he did not have anyone to play with. One by one, all of his friends left him to go and take a nap. Even the Little Cookie Monster wanted to take a nap. Eventually, everyone was asleep except the Little Yellow Bird. After a hard, long, tiring day, he too wanted to nap.

It was a clear day, a beautiful day for a picnic. Barbie drove to the picnic area with Ken and Skipper as passengers in her convertible. At the picnic area, there were two deer; a beautiful doe and her baby.

In this Barbie: A Picnic Surprise book, Barbie taught her little sister, Skipper, how to dive. Ken fished while Skipper practiced diving. However, when they wanted to have the food they brought, they found something has stolen all the chicken and wrecked their picnic basket. It was a dog. This board book for toddlers is based on the Winnie the Pooh works by A.A. Milne an E.H. Shepard. The book is written by Catherine Lukas and illustrated by Atelier Philippe Harchy. The book measures 5.9x5.9x0.25 inches. The book has 14 pages of Pooh fun.

In this book, Pooh and Piglet set out to decorate for Christmas in the Hundred-Acre Wood. Piglet found a perfect tree to decorate and they began to decorate. Piglet and Pooh bear could not reach the top of the tree so Tigger helped them but Tigger was not tall enough either. Then Rabbit, Eeyore and Roo passed by and everyone stacked up trying to reach the top but they still could not reach the top. But soon two turtle doves helped them and their tree became fully decorated with a star at the top.

This is great little Christmas story especially if you like the Disney's Winnie the Pooh series. Everyone was being themselves in this Pooh board book.
