The book is by Jean and ClaudioMarzollo and illustrated by R J Blake. This is a beautiful story about a little, baby unicorn called Star. She was called Star because she had a mark on her forehead that looked like a star. She had no horn yet because she was too young. In case you are wondering, unicorn horns are magic.

It is a Paperstar Book by Tomie dePaola, published by The Putnam & Grosset Group.This book tells the story of an Italian folktale. It is about the Italian bread, panetone. Panetone is made with eggs, raisins, and candied fruit. Panetone has many interesting stories explaining its creation. This book is about one of these stories.
