Question: Are you a vet or a vet tech? Please read I need some advice for a wounded cat?

My cat came home with a bite wound above is eye. It was draining a yellowish pus. I drained it, washed it out with peroxide, this I did twice. I also put some antibiotic ointment on it as well. I don't have the money to take him to the vet. Are there any vet techs or vets that can advice me on what else I can do at home for him. He appears to be fine other than the wound. He's eating and drinking. He's still as active as always. Thanks in advance for any help you can give me. If it helps at all I am located in Long Beach California.

I'm trying to learn my chords. In a book I'm reading, the author says if you apply a flat 7 to a diminished chord, you get an entirely different chord. He doesn't say what that chord is. Do you know, and can you give me an example? Thanks in advance.

Answer: a diminished triad consist of a root, minor 3rd (m3) and a diminished 5th (dim5). Remember than diminished scale has 9 notes and unlike the major and minor scales, plus the other modes and variations (but you still take the 1,3,5, and 7 of the scale to make a 7 chord). other chords when you add a b7 (flat 7) you get a dominant or minor seven chord (ex: C7=root, maj3rd, perfect5th, minor7 (this is a flat 7) is a dominant 7 chord, Cm7= root, minor 3rd, perfect 5th, minor 7)) but diminished is different. to make a "diminished 7" chord you add a bb7 (double flatted 7 which is actually the major 6th), BUT if you only add a b7 you get a half diminished chord

ex: dim triad in C + a minor 7 = Cø (half diminished). the notes are C,Eb, Gb, Bb
a diminished 7 chord would be (in C again): Cº7 = C, Eb,Gb, Bbb (A)

so yea theres your answer; you get a half diminished chord when you add a b7
