Question: How to organize a closet?

I recently cleaned my closet all the way out. I have always wondered how everyone else does theirs?

My closet....

I have my shoes/bags/hats/belts in my shoe rack. It's 5 feet high and about 16 inches wide and it dangles from the bar where the hangers hang. And it holds all of that listed.

Then I have my jeans/capris/skirts/shorts and shirts/jackets/dresses/shalls.
I have Jeans on one side and Shirts on the other.

How do I organize those?

I have my pajamas and under garmets in a drawers too.

Answer: For your shirts/tops/dresses/jackets, you can color-code them. It's really simple, just put all of the grey shirts together, all the blue shirts together, and so on. If you want to separate the short-sleeved tops from the long-sleeved, then you can do that too. You should probably keep your jackets/dresses/tops by themselves so that way you won't have a problem finding anything. For example, keep your jackets separate from the rest of your tops and group them into colors, and do the same with the rest of your tops

For your bottoms, do the same thing. Keep skirts grouped together, shorts grouped together, etc. And its a good idea to keep your bottoms and tops on separate sides.

Also, maybe you should take your shoe rack off of your closet bar and hang it on the back of your closet door? You'll have a lot more room in your closet if you just hang the shoe rack on a door.

And you don't really need to worry about pajamas/under garments, because it doesn't really matter if they're organized as long as they're in drawers. But if you really want to organize them, then maybe just put your pajamas in one drawers and undies in another?
